Our Projections are Causing our Discomfort

After some reflection and help from my higher conscious and God this morning I had a whopper of a realization . Here it is:

My discomfort is caused by my projections.

This all came about because I was remembering something that happened to a dog I never met. He died alone in the driveway of his home. He had a doggy door in the garage and could come and go as he pleased as his family lived on lots of land. He was old and sick, and his owner knew the end was near, and one day he came home and his dog lay in the driveway. This always hurt my heart that he died alone, but then today I realized that maybe it was a peaceful way to go, laying in the sunshine taking a nap like he did so often.

I realized that I have a fear of dying alone, of not being cherished at the end of my life. This was my projection. I was projecting my fears onto this dog, and for all I know he didn’t care about that at all.

If that’s the case then the shame, anger, fear, etc. I hold onto I created. Well, it’s time to let it go.

Am I Really Greedy?

When I first started addressing my childhood trauma I would say a prayer asking God what I needed to let go of or address before meditating. I would always hear Gods calm steady voice say greed. I was confused.

I began meditating on the word Greed, and I realized that trying to control everything is in fact greedy and I never thought of it like that. I would never have labeled myself that way.

I have always been hyper independent and a loner. I always wanted to do things myself because I couldn’t trust other people. I learned I couldn’t depend on anyone.

Also, I wasn’t involving God in my divisions either. I never held space for him to move in my life and guide me.

The biggest way I was trying to control was in my relationships. By giving my power away to keep the peace, and making myself small I could control situations. I also tried to control how people saw me.

So, yes, I believe I was being unknowingly greedy. I thank God for bringing this to my attention. It’s been life changing.

I challenge you to think about what aspects of your life you are trying to control?

You Can be Happy Anytime You Want

Our emotional reaction to the things that happen is based on our judgement of the thing that happened. If it’s based on a judgement, then we can change our perspective and choose to have a different emotional reaction. Given that rational then it would stand to reason that we can always be happy, or at the very least be at peace with the things that happen to us,

Therefore, you have everything inside you already to be happy in every moment. I’m not saying you should avoid your feelings/emotions, as these are very imports tools, but what I am saying is don’t wait for something to make you happy. Choose happiness and peace in every now moment. It’s only a perspective shift away.

Your Whole Body is an Intuitive Guide

We have all been given a vessel, our bodies, to inhabit while we live and breathe in this 3D life. Most of us, me included were lead to believe that our brain carries all the information we need to make decisions about our lives. That our brains communicate to our body causing reactions like goose bumps, or a tingle on the scalp, a tummy ache, or warm fuzzies.

It is in fact the other way around. Our bodies are very intuitive, and are full of senses and reactions to help us navigate our lives. I will give you a few examples.

Have you ever gotten the urge to turn off your main route and go the “scenic route” home, only to learn that there was an accident on the highway that would have delayed your journey home by an hour or more?

Or, have you ever been siting at a concert, large or small and suddenly felt goose bumps on your flesh when the band plays a certain song.

Another, when you went with your friends to the mall, and crossed path with someone that you just knew was a bad person and you got a sinking feeling in your stomach.

I could go on and on, but your body has so many ways to get your attention, and to relay information.

Long before us people have known that their body can give them information. There’s even superstitions from the past that are linked to sensations in the body like:

-When you left palm itches you have money coming to you

-When your ears ring that means someone is gossiping about you

-Itchy nose means company is coming

The point I am trying to make is we have to look at our bodies as providing us with information about our lives. How does it react to certain situations, ideas, people? You’re sure to find a pattern and when you do, you can use your body to help you make decisions.

An exercise that I have used to help me determine right and wrong is to sit silently in a quiet space. Say a statement to yourself to that you know is untrue like, ” My middle name is Pam.” Then notice how your body reacts to that statement. Do you get a tightening of muscles, tension in your jaw, a nagging feeling in your stomach? Then ask the same question using something you know to be true, “My middle name is Elissa,” and see how your body reacts to that.

It’s fun to notice what your body is trying to tell you.

Our bodies are way more intuitive than we give them credit for.

My Own Thoughts: I have been struggling a lot recently with the concept of surrender. As I dive deeper into my faith and spirituality, both inside religion and outside of it, I have been getting the nudge to surrender. The problem is that I was resisting it.

I always thought surrender was about giving up control. That I had to stop myself from trying to control, but when I heard this today, it totally flipped me on my head. This seems much easier. I can allow people to be the way they are, but I get to determine if it resonates with me. I can allow my prayers to be answered or not, and stop struggling with the how it’s going to happen. I can choose to allow it to happen without trying to figure it out. In doing this I just have to follow what resonates with me. When I feel resistance, I just have to determine whether it’s fear or love, and just allow.

I feel so much lighter and freer.

Remember to Ask for Help

I spent many years seeking out advice from others and applying their advice, only to have it all blow up in my face. I’ve learned that people only see things through the lens of their own experience.

Having compensated, I now fall into the trap of trying to figure everything thing out myself. When I have something weighing on my mind, I often feel like I need to solve it myself. Our minds are wonderful and amazing tools, but they are reliant on the things we have learned, experiences that we’ve had, and how we interpreted them. That means that if we haven’t worked on our traumas and shadow, our minds are filtering everything through them. That lead me to feel like I couldn’t even trust myself.

I have recently started to renew my faith and have been attending church on Sunday. Part of the message this week was about being a partner with God to create your life. I’m sure you’ve all heard the quote, “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” Pastor Joe says there is a word that is missing at the end of that quote, and I believe it too…God won’t give you more than you can handle together. God wants you to confide in him, to give him your worries and fears and to ask for his assistance.

I believe all spiritual roads lead to the same place, so if you cannot relate to my Christian God, apply the message to your creator. Universal wisdom is just that. Universal.

When you have something weighing on your heart, instead of letting it roll around and create doubt and fear in your mind, ask for help. Meditate, pray, talk it through with your creator, and open yourself up to receiving divine assistance.

Balance – Body and Soul

I received a message today that I wanted to share with you.

On this journey of healing and enlightenment it’s easy to get caught up in the spiritual aspect. Once you learn to tap into your intuition, and receive universal wisdom, that seems like the place to be. That is where things begin to make sense and it’s easy to get caught up in wanting more clarity. However, It’s important to balance our spiritual life with our 3D experience.

This duality requires balance and that means not neglecting our bodies. We must use our bodies to experience things that our soul cannot. We nurture them with the physical things that we can touch, taste, hear, and feel. I don’t mean indulgence and excess, but giving our bodies physical experiences. We must move them, feed them healthy food, take adventures, and form relationships. In it’s simplest form, just being present in your body, and experiencing life with all your senses in the moment.

Sometimes it’s just a change of perspective that’s needed. I know that personally I view my body and my ego mind in a negative light, but it too has a job to do. It’s kept me alive for 47 years and for that I am grateful. Today I will start considering it’s needs as more of a priority and less of a burden.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

The Fear of Missing Out

I had to make a difficult decision this weekend. I had a trip planned with my sister to visit my other sister that I have not seen in a year. She lives 10 hours away and we usually drive there together. It’s so much fun, and much needed time with my sisters.

Unfortunately, one of my dogs had an emergency vet visit last week that cost me quite a bit. In the past, I would just take the hit on my credit card for the vet visit and boarding the dogs over the weekend, and still go on the trip. This time I did the more responsible thing; I stayed home.

I felt good about not overcommitting my resources and my sisters understood even if they were disappointed. However, I woke up today, knowing my sisters are sharing the day together without me, and I got stuck in my disappointment.

Then something happened. I was laying down for a nap this afternoon, since I did still have the day off, when I realized, I am meant to have the experiences that I am meant to have. The only person that is going to look out for me, is me. Even if it was so disappointing not being there… Comparing myself to other people, and basing my value on what I see other people have or what they are doing, is not doing me any favors.

It’s okay to say No, to not give more than you can emotionally or materially. It’s okay to appreciate the things in your life that you do have. You might not get to go on that vacation, but maybe the universe has something more important planned for you.

Finding joy and gratitude for what you do have, instead of worrying about what you are missing, would be a far better use of the time, than being sad and sulking over the missed opportunity.

Identify Your Patterns

One of the Universal Laws is that cycles are a natural part of the universe.

Cycles can be seen outwardly, like in nature, but we can also see them in our own lives. We have them in relationships, in work, and in our behaviors.

Yesterday before bed I was getting a nudge from my intuition to read a journal entry from the same day 2 years ago. I was surprised by what I read and a little sad.

In this entry from a couple of years ago I was writing about a situation that I am going through right now with the same people! I’ve been working through some really hard things these last few months, and having some really tough realizations about my behavior patterns.

The most interesting thing about this is that I was getting the same advice from my intuition. I think the reason I was guided to this entry was to show me, this is a pattern and it’s time to change it. What I chose the last time, brought me right back to the same place. It’s time to break that cycle, learn the lesson, start a new way of living, and a heathy behavior pattern.

Do you find yourself repeating old patterns in relationships, at work, or in your behaviors? You will probably continue to live out these cycles again and again until you take the time to dig in there and do the healing work. If you want something different, you have to do something different.

Channeled Message – What does the collective need to know to move us to the best possible outcome for all.

This is a message that I channeled this morning during meditation. I was preparing for a collective tarot reading on my youtube channel. If you want to check that out, the link is below my picture on the right.

The topic was, What does the collective need to know to move us to the best possible outcome for all. Here’s the message.

Teach your children how to cope with changes. Show them by your own actions how to ground their energy; to get out of their own mind and act in a loving and self empowered way. Teach them how to be kind to themselves. If you have not done this work yourself, then you must learn it, so that you can teach the next generation. This is imperative.

Hurt people who have not healed will hurt the people that they love. This is not because they are doing so intentionally, but because they are disconnected from themselves.

To find God you must go through yourself for God resides inside of you. You and I are connected through the heart. We are all one. The logical mind likes to keep you separate from the whole because it only knows your experience, but your heart has the knowledge of universal wisdom.

Teach your children to tap into this source so that they can make the highest and best choices for themselves and the whole of humanity. That is how we heal the planet. This comes from love and connectedness, not through division.

We all play a part, and that is where you will find your own uniqueness, your specialty if you will.

Teach your children to follow that inner compass and they will have fulfilling and abundant lives. Show them that love is found within and their hearts will always be full, and they will give of themselves freely.
